Based on the present research and developing trend of modified asphalt in our country and outsides, this paper aiming at the asphalt pavement exists to rut for main diseases present situation, puts forward waste plastic as modifier meanwhile it can reduce waste plastic "white pollution" of the environment of pressureand improve the asphalt pavement temperature performance.①This topic developed two types of modifier,one is recycling of waste plastics(RP), another is waste plastic after cracking processing plastic (CRP). In test study explored preparation process plastic system processing technology(plastic cracking time, cracking temperature, equipment, etc.).②Waste plastic modified asphalt basic performance study the three indexes (needle into degrees, softening point, deferred degrees).The test results show that CRP and RP improved modified asphalt softening point and reduces the modified asphalt needle into degrees, softening point increase rate reached to 20%,one of the waste polypropylene softening point to improve the best effect, reached the 75℃ above.③Waste plastic modified asphalt mixture way-use performance mainly studies Marshall performance index,the high temperature performance and stability of water. Marshall test results found modificated mixture resistance to deformation increased, stability ability increases 30%;Rutting test shows that CRP and RP can greatly improved the dynamic stability of mixture, the dynamic stability. CRP on the improvement of high temperature performance of mixture is more stable than the RP. Modified asphalt mixture of dynamic stability is matrix of hot-mix asphalt 3 times. Experimental study in freeze-thaw splitting found in part types of RP reduces the mixture of water stability, CRP levels mixture water stability.④Through the experiments to verify the road project, waste plastic modified asphalt mixture in improving road anti-rutting ability, prolong service life, save road engineering investment etc have a unique advantage, it have good way-use performance also have energy conservation and environmental protection of social benefits.
