With "the unique craftsmanship of Tibetan residential tower dwelling ofBanma,Qinghai" successfully declared as national heritage in2011, this unique form ofplateau dwelling is becoming well-known. Tibetan residential tower dwelling of Banmahas some major meanings concerning architectural space, culture heritage, historicaland ecological significance.Due to the small size of those dwellings,plus,difficultiessuch as Tibetan can’t read/write Chinese, awfully inconvenient traffic, which providemany obsticals towards our research,thus far,there is no thorough research for theTibetan residential tower dwelling of Banma nowadays.This paper put the Tibetan residential tower dwelling as major subjects, from onthe field research mapping and residents interviewed start using global and local phaseadjuvant, subject and object combination, through the information literature access,analyze, summarize, organize, analyze Banma County village towers space, single space,the type of features, style, detail and so on. Combined with the local geographicalfeatures, in-depth analysis and study the impact of lifestyle on the towers of itsproduction, distribution towers, buildings and residents using the production functioncombines lifestyle and so on. Qingnan Banma attempt to traditional towers residentialarea protection, and the protection of geographical and cultural heritage anddevelopment of this unique form of houses to do some basic research, in order toprovide reference for future studies of other aspects.The first chapter, through the research and monographs queries to sort out the basicsituation of Green County, South Banma natural economic geography, a preliminaryunderstanding of its objective background. The second section summarizes research examples, analyze the organizational structure of a typical village of towers, housesmonomer and so on. The third part analyzes refined analysis of village space andbuilding functional space in the partition layout principles of law. The fourth part of theabove investigation, background, type of analysis, the dominant factor in the impact ofspace on the form to do with the summary. The fifth part raised about how to protecttraditional Banma towers, some of the recommendations of a new era of how to buildtowers Banma.
