With the rapid development of industry, modern products are transforming forwardpersonalization and profession. Customers of tipper semi-trailer are increasingly payingmore attention to the degree of specialization of the vehicle, according to their actual needsof the diverse special target. Therefore, the ability to meet customer demand and shortenproduction cycle becomes the key factors which determine the competitiveness of a vehiclemanufacturer.In response to the demand of market, this paper completes the initial developmentwork of tipper semi-trailer rapid design system based on the rapid design theory under theenvironment of mass customization. This system is accomplished based on the division ofoverall module of the tipper semi-trailer, especially for the module of frame in which theutilization of UG secondary development of related technologies is combined withparametric modeling. Based on the finite element analysis software, this paper makesviability testing of quality for the preliminary designed model and then optimizes the modelthat meets the design requirements finally. In the process of the design, the newcomponents and vehicle instance is allowed to add to the database of the system, which canavoid reduplication of modeling, improve the efficiency of new product development andmeet the demand of growing diversification and personality for the design in the modernmarket. Thereby this design enhances the profit of enterprises and the competitiveness ofmarket.
