With the development of China’s construction industry and engineering machinery, theconcrete pump truck becomes more and more popular in large-scale construction plant.Meanwhile, as a high-tech product, its high cost cannot be ignored, and it’s difficult to findfaults, which can lead to serious accidents. Especially, the hydraulic system of concretepump truck, which is composed of many hydraulic components, is considerable complex,and hydraulic circuits interact with each other. As a result, faults occur more frequently. As apart of concrete pump truck’s hydraulic system, the hydraulic system of arm is fairlyimportant. However, studies about fault diagnosis for hydraulic system of arm are few.Therefore, the significance of study about hydraulic system of arm is obvious.Basic steps of this study can be concluded as follow. Firstly, the thesis provides a briefintroduction to the history of concrete pump truck’s development. Secondly, it describes thedevelopment process of fault diagnosis for hydraulic system. Thirdly, through comparisonsfrom various sides, the method, which combines modeling and simulation of hydraulicsystem using AMESim with data analysis using neural network, is seen as a better choice.Fourthly, various hydraulic components, such as hydraulic pump, reversing valve, speedcontrol valve, hydraulic cylinder, are modeled and simulated with AMESim. Fifthly, faultsare considered in models,by simulation usingAMESim, characteristic curves and data of allkinds of faults are obtained. At last, Taking A7VO pump as an example, with characteristiccurves and data obtained, fault intelligent diagnosis can be achieved with neural network.This paper achieves modeling of hydraulic system using the way of system modeling andsimulation, and finishes fault diagnosis using neural network. In conclusion, it offers aconvenient, effective and feasible solution to fault intelligent diagnosis for the hydraulicsystem of concrete pump truck arm.
