As a new generation of green energy in the21st century, the development of LEDtechnology is very rapidly, LED panel light came into being. The wide range ofapplications, strong industrial drive, powerful energy-saving potential, making LED panellight have deeper and deeper effects on people’s production, life and work. In view of this,how to improve the luminescent properties of LED panel light continuously has practicalsignificance. By improving the panel light’s key component-the light guide plate(LGP),reoptimizing and designing the dot size and layout, to improve the luminescent propertiesof LED panel light in this paper.Through researching and reading lots of domestic and foreign literatures, illustratingthe significance of LED panel light on people’s production and life, in the same time,pointing out the development trend of LED panel light and some problems exist currently,to solve these corresponding solutions.In this paper, we apply optical design software-LightTools to design several new dot arrangement ways of the light guide plate. We use thesoftware to conduct the ray tracing simulation experiments repeatedly, by changing theradius of the dot, the arrangement distance and other parameters to observe the effect onthe emitted light illuminance. Through a lot of simulation, we got a more uniformdistribution of the emitted light, and a higher illuminance value of the light guide plate’sdot arranged ways.In this paper, we completed the design and development of LED panel light’suniformity detection device, including mechanical design, image data acquisition andsystem control core design. For practical verification, using the way of laser engraving toproduct the actual samples. Compared with traditional ink type light guide, sample’suniformity test results grew1%, improving little but significant. In addition, the test resultswere compared with the simulation results, it proved that the proposed optimization methodhas certain app-lication value.Meanwhile, we carried a luminous efficiency detection of LED panel light, using integrating sphere and spectrometer tester conduct luminous efficiency test to the maked LEDpanel light. Test results show that: the laser engraving style guide plate compares with ink type light guide, flat light has one percentage point higher luminous efficiency made by theformer, reaching80%. As for the limited time, the network layout we designed is notperfect enough, making the uniformity has not a big raise, but compared with panel light ofthe general level in the market, the LED panel light‘s luminescent properties that we madehas a small amplitude of improved.
