Auto part cleaning equipment is very important in industrial productionlines. The cleaning equipment’s efficacy and cycle time affect assemblyquality directly, and then part’s temperature is much more important. Socustomer usually pays attention on part’s temperature. Because cleaning isthe final process before installation, the part’s temperature must be controlledby cleaning equipment. Generally, we use PID control to keep part’stemperature. But the environment varied frequently, the PID control can’tregular part’s temperature to set value. So we need control method which hasbetter control effect.Part’s temperature relate to cooler temperature, cooler time and cold fanflow. The temperature difference between part and indoor should be less than1degree. According crafts demand that cooler time always keep about1minute. And part’s temperature can’t be too low, Environment is complex at industrial site. PID control can’t keeptemperature down quickly. But fuzzy control adjust regulating valve very fastdepend on fuzzy query table. Fuzzy control also keeps temperature stable.This paper first analyzes cleaning industry’s development andimportance. Second analyzes auto part cleaning equipment cooling systems’structure and work process. Next paper analyzes PID control and fuzzycontrol’s principle and feature, introduce fuzzy control’s main step exactly.Then summarize theoretical basis that how to choice PID control and fuzzycontrol. Based on this, the paper explains fuzzy control algorithm exactly,include fuzzy controllers’ design principle, design method and designprocedure.The control system’s hardware is Siemens PLC (Programmable LogicController) and analog input and output module. The commissioning andprogramming software is Step7. Finally, experiment is done by traditionalPID control and fuzzy control algorithm respectively in commissioning.The test result shows fuzzy control is better than traditional PID control onresponse speed.
