The bogie frame is one of the key parts of the metro vehicle.The strength ofbogie frame is very important for the running safty of metro vehicle. In general,now available bogie frame adopt welding structural style. It is a large weldingstructure. In order to ensure a stable structure under the action of long-term load,and ensure train operation safety and reliability and excellent operation quality, thebogie frame should has enough stiffness and static strength and fatigue strength.Firstly, this paper presents the structure and technique characteristices of thebogie frame. And the loads of bogie frame putting forward for bogie framestrength calculation and strength test are analysed deeply. And then strengthcheck is made out through the simulation analysis with the powerfulfinite-element analysis software ANSYS. The results show that the bogie frameof static strength and fatigue strength meet the requirements of the relevantstandards. In the simulation results, the effect of particular in-service loads aredistinct. Through the secondary development of ANSYS software, the systeminterface for efficient computation fast processing framework analysis ofcalculation results is finished. And the speed of bogie frame strength calculationis improved.The strength test results show that the static strength and fatigue strength ofthe bogie frame meet the requirements of relevant standards. After detailedanalysis of the dynamic stress test results, the bogie frame meet the demand ofthe service life of30years for client with the Miner linear cumulative damagetheory for fatigue life assessment. By analyzing the dynamic test loads at thepoint of the air spring seat of the bogie frame, the bogie frame fatigue lifeassessment is made using Miner linear cumulative damage theory of fatigueframework. It shows that the maximum test load is very close to the maximumcalculated load. It indicates that the air spring force through car body is in the expectations. By analyzing the motor suspension seat vibration acceleration testresults, the actual test value is lower than the value of user requirements. It showsthat the strength of bogie is better than design expected and will be more secureand reliable. In this paper, the results with corresponding simulation analysis andtest results comparative analysis provide certain references for bogie framedesign and development in the future.
