Large motors provide power for energy equipment, electricalequipment, shipbuilding industry, metallurgical equipment and miningmachinery of our nation. Large motors of high efficiency and highreliability are very important for the development of national economies.Motor assembly process is an important part of the entire motormanufacturing industry and reasonable processes can not only improveproductivity and save energy and raw materials, but also can enhance thecompetitiveness of their products and increase economic effectiveness.Now, in many motor factories like Shanghai Electric Company, manyassembly processes of large motor stator core are relying on hand-finishedwork and workers experience, which will result in that quality andreliability is difficult to be guaranteed. Thus, the large motor assemblyprocess optimization is of great significance.Based on the finite element analysis of theory, this thesis analyze andoptimize the large motor stator core press-fit process and the weldingprocess. Firstly, a finite element model of the stator core press-fit processwas established and the effects of different bolts in this process wereanalyzed; the accuracy of the model is verified by experiments; with thehelp of the FE model an elastic interaction equation between bolts iscreated; finally a scheme of the optimization of the press-fit process iscompleted.Secondly, analyze the welding process between the motor core andthe motor mount. Another FE model was established and the entirewelding process is simulated with the user subroutine DFLUX of Abaqus. Then, the thesis studied and analyzed three kinds of process parameters(thewelding sequence, the welding heat input and the welding speed) on theinfluence law of welding quality.Finally, a core press-fit process parametric modeling plug-ins wasdeveloped with Abaqus scripting interface and GUI tools in Pythonlanguage. Through an example the installation and use of this plug-ins wasdescribed. Using the plug-in can greatly improve the efficiency and reducethe error probability and it is meaningful for future’s process simulationand optimization.
