Several kinds of manufacturing methods of the stator corn are introduced in this paper. They are compared to each other in aspects of material saving and the performance to the stator. The conclusion that the coil manufacturing method has the advantage over other methods of material saving, continuity and the performance to stator the stator is got. The coil manufacturing is introduced in detail. And the disadvantage of gaining the coiling parameters is also described. The bending deformation of iron corn of electric motor stator is researched by using finite element method (FEM) in computer in this paper. The change of the neutral layer of the tooth steel in bending deformation is analyzed meanwhile.To determine the tooth pitch is the major work for the bending deformation of the stator core. A series of work must be done in order to obtain a preliminary circular pitch. First, the iron core model of FEM is established, then it is unfolded as a bar by ANSYS. So the tooth pitch between two teeth can be measured. The pitch is call preliminary tooth pitch in this paper. Second, the model of ribbon iron tooth steel whose tooth pitch is preliminary tooth pitch is established. Then the ribbon iron tooth steel is coiled into the circular iron core by ANSYS. Finally, the result of the simulation is observed through ANSYS. If successful, the preliminary pitch gained by launching simulation are the accurate circular pitch needed of coiling. If failed, the modifier is calculated and further coiling is done until get correct conclusion. A series of data is gained by analyzing the relationship of different shape of stator core to the coiled pitch.Rebound problem is always one key of the consideration on the forming of sheet metal, and the coiling of iron core is no exception. The unloaded condition after coiling the tooth steel is simulated by controlling the“alive-die”of finite element. The relationship line is drew by simulating a series of stator core.In order to simplify the operation of ANSYS, a CAM software basing on command flow is created through Visual Basic 6.0. The CAM software has the function follow by: the dimension and material parameters of tooth steel or iron core are input, and the command flow of ANSYS is output.The conclusion of FEM is test by experimental equipment. The result show that the coiling parameter got from FEM method can lead the practical experiment well.
