As the customers’ demands become more and more differential, the industrialproduction mode trends to be in small batch and multiple types. However thetraditional statistics process control methods need big amount of sample data, and itwill meet a lot of difficulty if this method is applied directly to the small batchproduction.This article compares the different small batch product statistics quality controltheories, and analyzes their characteristic, restriction and suitable product type. On thedetailed research side, under the circumstance of company P and as per the specialtyand quality problem of vehicle clutches, with an example of grouping control theory, itdescribes the data collection, date transferring and output of standard deviation andprocess capability parameters. According to the process capability parameter, theabnormal situation of the process is pre-detected. The suitable solution is applied toimprove the product quality and finally the effectiveness is confirmed. Thus withsuitable small batch quality theory and no additional inspection data, the qualitysensitivity is increased and the effectiveness of the quality control reaches thedemanded level.Also the article introduces F-distribution experiment to check the theoryadaptation before applying grouping control to the new production. As well as theautomatic calculation grouping control quality tool for the easy usage of the on-sidequality personnel. These contents will help the companies to successfully apply thegrouping control to their small batch product quality control.
