In order to adapt to the development requirements of multiple rocket launchingtechnology at home and abroad, improve automatic aiming performance, and reducesystem costs, this paper combined some automatic aiming system design demand ofmy research institute, and completed the launcher automatic aiming system designand the PID control algorithm simulation analysis and software design. In control ofthe fire control computer the automatic aiming system completed launcher pitch androtational motion by hydraulic drive. The automatic aiming component implementedthe transforming from the control signal of the fire control computer to the valvedrive signal of the hydraulic pressure system.Through the calculation and analysis of the launch platform load, this paperselected the parameters of the hydraulic cylinder, and is determined by the flowproportional valves to achieve the speed control. To meet the automatic aimingsystem accuracy, speed and stability demands, this paper finished the simulationmodel of hydraulic system and load. A set of the combination of control mode ofopen-loop control and closed-loop control attained the operation speed and precisionof dual requirement. At the same time,by adjusting some parameters of the controlalgorithm, we can change the speed of aiming. In the process of aiming, the launchercan move smoothly to reduce the impact to the system. On the fire control computer,designed the aiming control software, and by the software control automatic aimingcomponent implementation at hydraulic system control.By physical testing, the results show that the launcher automatic aiming systemhas a good response speed and control precision, and PID control algorithm isselected properly.Thus the automatic aiming system of launcher meets the designrequirements in aspects of function and performance.
