Due to the good corrosion resistance and anti-pollution of BFe10-1-1copper-nickel alloy tube, which has been applied widely in ocean engineering areasuch as marine vessels. Traditionally, straight section of pipe and fashioned elbowalways be welded in application because of its poor machinability, but the crack ofweld elbow would accelerate tube corrosion in seawater, meanwhile, the weld elbowresult the cost increase in engineering applications. With the constant developmentand ripeness of plastic processing technology, appropriate bending technology onBFe10-1-1tube will not only reduce the cost, improve efficiency, but also promoteexploiting the performance of tubes. This paper has discussed and analyzed the bending of BFe10-1-1copper-nickelalloy tube, in perspective from the plastic deformation (bending theory), bendingprocess and FEA. Researching the properties of tube bending to provide a guidanceand reference for the technology of BFe10-1-1copper-nickel alloy bending, and alsohelp to improve understand about tube bending. The paper mainly includes thefollowing aspects of content:1) This paper will take the theory of the beam and plate for reference to make themechanic analysis of tube bending. Introducing the elastic-plastic deformationbehavior and stress-strain state and the yield criterion etc. making a further analysisabout the features of tube bending, and the theory of approximate formula is deducedwhich include wall thickness reduction and cross section distortion and rebound rateof thin tube.2) Comparatively analyzed the technology of the tube bending, combining withthe characteristics of BFe10-1-1copper-nickel alloy tube, put forward the suitableprocess for tube; introduced the defect easily arising, and expound the causation, thenpropose the effective measurement for prevention, Finally, the theoretical formula ofminimum-bending radius has been derived.(3)The mechanical performance testing and bending trial have been finished, andthe mechanical performance parameters were obtained as well as the data of everyevaluating indicator after bending. 4) Based on the experimental study, finite element (FE) model on tube bendinghas been established, which simulates the process of bending, and compared withexperiment, it is concluded that the rule of stress and strain, then the main processparameters affecting the tube bending has been acquired through research ofsimulation, summarized the related influence rule, provided the tube diamondprocessing very meaningful reference and guidance...
