Tube Bending is a technology of manufacture tube parts by deforming tube with a mold. Tube parts have some excellences, such as lightweight, high toughness, low energy consumption and high efficiency. Tube part has an important role in aviation, spaceflight and other civil industry.CNC Tube Bending was developed based on the theory of vector tube bending and has improved on the quality and efficiency of the manufacture of tube part. In the procedure of bending tube, the tube has large moving range. So the probability of collision with object around the tube is increasing rapidly with growing of number of the bend elbow and complexity of tube shape in space. Thereby it is necessary to operation advance planning of bend tube to avoid the collision in the real bending process.At present, the researches in the field of tube bending procedure planning are mainly focusing on tube bending simulation to detect collision. However there are fewer researches on the method of tube bending sequence planning. Along with the enlarging of the range of tube bending application, the shape of tube parts become more complexity and multiplicity, so it is necessary and important to research on the method of tube bending procedure planning.The paper analyzed the process of bending tube, built the system construction of operation planning based on motion simulation of tube bending procedure, and designed the soft flow diagram of tube bending procedure planning.The paper analyzed tube bending procedure planning, researched on the method of operation planning for tube bending, which is achieved by steps of computing the operation aggregate, analyzing the operation planning of collision detection, analyzing the operation planning aggregate of difficultly to fit and choosing the most optimize working procedure. Finally, the process of tube bending procedure planning was studied.The paper studied on the technologies of carrying out the simulation system of tube bending. First, analyzed the object of simulation and modeling technology, then used OpenGL control the model of 3DsMAX to achieve the geometry mode displacement for equipment and die, and used the way of parameterized modeling to achieve the rapid modeling for die and tube parts. Second, introduced the algorithms of collision detection and adopted the Axis-Aligned Bounding Boxes algorithm to realize collision detection of tube bending.
