Research On Environment Design Of Campus

Abstract:Pretty campus environment is beneficial not only for the good campus image but also for mental and physical health and perfect characteristics of students who lives there. Along with high speed of school expansion, a large number of reconstruction for new campus sites come into being. Some new methods and new trend come into being. All methods have their own value and merits. However, these researches on campus design methods usually rest on certain particular aspects which lack the overall studies.Good environment design of campus contains the following three parts:total environment design, architecture environment design and landscape environment design. Researching on environment design of campus, it has been found that total environment design of campus owns the characteristics of defining function socialization, planning function sociability and sustainability. Line mode, group mode, grip mode and other modes are always been used as space organization modes. These nodes design of campus environment space often focus on symbolization and systematization. Complexity and opening are characteristics of architecture environment lies in designing of campus. And internal environment design of an architecture presents characteristic of diversity and coherence. On the other side, external environment design of architecture presents characteristic of Integrity, hierarchy and humanization. The method of landscape design always combines nature with regularization. Numerous elements should be considered in sight designing and territoriality characteristic is also pointed there.Based on relevant literatures which is published overseas and domestic, this paper presents some researches on environment design of campuses in Hunan province. Combining with characteristics of campus environment design of a specific project in Hunan City University, further discussions on tendency of campus environment design are also presented in this paper. This paper fully presents discussions on characteristics of campus environment design but lacking the detail of the specific method in campus environment designing.
