In the wave of globalization, regional China building is severely impacted by themodern architecture. How to reproduce the regional architecture has become anurgent problem. Handan city as the China famous historical and cultural city, with itsrich culture, however, in today’s Handan building research and creation are basicallyonly on the level of form, lacking of the further in-depth study and discussion aboutthe architectural space and proportion. The present study of Handan regionalarchitecture is main stay in the form level. This thesis tries to research on Handanarchitecture’s space, proportion, scale, extraction and seize the Handan regionalarchitecture’ spirit. This thesis’s relevant study achievements will be as a guidingideology and theoretical foundation to guide the architectural design of Handan in thefuture. In design and expression we try to achieve the goal "spirit alike but form donot alike". Construction should be in line with the times. On the basis of the researchachievements about Handan regional architecture, this thesis attempts to study on themodern expression of the regional architecture and embodies the flavor of the times.What has been described above is the purpose and the significance of this thesis study.Research methods are as follows. First of all, we mapping the surviving regionalconstruction in the city of Handan and the surrounding areas, and then build themodel, analysis and statistics to the data, concluded the relevant conclusions about thebuilding space, proportion and scale so that we extract the spirit of Handan regionalbuildings. Through the study of neoclassical architecture about how to use the modernarchitectural language to express the traditional classical building, this thesis presentstwo methods of how to express Handan regional architecture in modern form. Basedon the above methods, this thesis summarizes related data of Handan regionalarchitecture and design method and derives a series of innovative research results.About the modern expression of the regional architecture this thesis proposes twokinds of expression methods. Integrate into related ideas on the new Chinoiseriearchitectural, this thesis enriched the expression on the design of the regionalcharacteristics of the architecture of Handan. Based on the research results of thisthesis, it will be as the guiding ideology and theoretical methods to guide Handan architectural design in the future and the regional expression of the architecture ofHandan area is more a step forward. This thesis has made some researches on themodern expression about the Handan regional architecture.
