With the continuous development of the national economy, energy issues becomeincreasingly prominent, energy problem is taken more and more seriously. Powerconsumption of power plant cooling system is relatively large, it accounts for about10%of station service power consumption. The cooling system of power plant does not matchthe changes of the load and seasons leading to the waste of energy and resources.Therefore, to minimize the energy consumption of cooling system of power plant is veryurgent. Based on this, the paper carries on a study to Cangdong power plant Coolingsystem operation way optimization, so as to guarantee Cangdong power plant Coolingsystem energy-saving and transformation carries on smoothly.Firstly, it analyzes the characteristics and status of Cangdong power plant Coolingsystem. Secondly, it illustrates the optimization program by means of the necessityanalysis that based on the speed change transformation and its transformation calculationas well as its operation mode. Lastly, based on building the evaluation index system ofCangdong power plant Cooling system operation optimization program, it uses entropymethod and TOPSIS to evaluate these programs of Cangdong power plant Coolingsystem operation optimization, which chooses the best program, and carries on concreteanalysis to the operation mode of the best program.
