Strong excitation error is the most serious accident in the excitation system, to generatestrong excitation by mistake and the harm has carried on the detailed description,including hardware, software, the more dangerous point in the process of operation andmaintenance. List some examples of false strong excitation, this paper introduces theno-load error excitation and load false strong excitation, and the harm of unit respectively.No-load error is analyzed after the occurrence of strong excitation and load by strongexcitation relay protection movement situation, points out that the strong no-load errorexcitation, current protection not action, voltage protection of excitation protection, overvoltage protection are not timely actions; Strong load error excitation, as a result of thesystem voltage, voltage protection can not be timely action, current protection such asover load of the stator, rotor overload protection are back-up protection, and the need toavoid strong excitation, action in fault10seconds before action. Put forward the currentrelay protection setting the specific problem of false strong excitation protection, therelay protection setting, on the basis of theoretical research, adopt the method of RTDSsimulation analysis. This project on the establishment of simulation model, includingsystem, generator, excitation system model, and according to the type test report, thefield test results of RTDS simulation model is established for the check, the last ofno-load error respectively strong excitation and load by strong excitation are simulated,the research in no-load and load cases by strong excitation to protect hair become group,put out the influence of the magnetic field system security.According to the simulation results obtained the no-load error after the occurrence ofstrong excitation overvoltage protection action is slow; Strong load error excitationgenerator voltage short of overvoltage protection setting value, after a field inverse timeprotection, overload protection of the stator and the rotor over load protection action verylate, can’t timely removal of fault. Reduce overvoltage protection is analyzed and valuedenough, right excitation protection, excitation system v Hertz limit, overload of the stator,rotor over load protection etc. According to the simulation results of overvoltage fixedvalue lower range made a suggestion.
