At present our country still exist a lot of small and medium-sized steam turbine generator and its excitation system although has been since self-excited excitation system,but due to the long service period,the aging of the equipment caused the unstable operation,unable to purchase the spare parts normally,and became a serious hidden trouble for the stable operation of the unit.In order to supply the reliability of power supply and meet the requirement of power grid in recent years,it is necessary to upgrade and upgrade the excitation system.This paper analyzes the self-excited excitation system hardware and software system structure,in further study of all kinds of excitation system working principle and characteristics,on the basis of the selection of main components and equipment are analyzed and calculated,determine the main body of the design,main equipment concrete implementation plan;Introduces the internal protection function of excitation regulator,as well as the setting of protection setting to discuss and determine the setting value,the protection of the excitation system is mainly studied the main body of protection setting fixed value and send group cooperate relationship.By the final experiment unit and unit of modified dynamic tracking,summarize and contrast the run data,it is concluded that the performance of excitation system before and after the transformation,verification in this paper,the actual effect of the work to fulfill the requirements of the design in this paper.
