Residual current circuit breaker is a device which was used to maintain the safety ofpower grid.Operation and a protective device which ensures the safety of staffs who useselectricity. The main application is the end of power grid which examines groundingbreakdown or body electric shock or the increase of leak current caused by leakage ofequipment, so as to guarantee the safety of electricity route as well as personal andproperty security. However, with of high-speed development of society and everadvancement of technology, a higher demand was put forward for the quality andstability of electricity assurance in terms of discontinuity power supply and the accuratedetection of breakdown while avoiding unnecessary blackout. Such requires the residualcurrent circuit breaker reaches a certain level of intelligentize, to detect the breakdownhappens in the power grid effectively, to make an accurate breakdown analysis, to cutoff circuit effectively according to the analysis result of breakdown, so as to prevent theenlargement of breakdown and to be able to reclose automatically after the breakdownwas removed, which improves the operating efficiency of electric system to a greatextent. Thus, it is meaningful to device a residual current circuit breaker which has highcapacity of breaking.The programme is a kind of product development programme which mainly dealswith the functions of products, the setting of parameter and the design of software aswell as the hardware. The programme is based on the original products, adopting themicroprocessor as a core, designing a series of function mode which involves displaying,inquiry, data save, breakdown reorganization. And put function mode into practicalproducts use, accomplishing the development of residual current protective switch.the specific measurement of program includes the following areas:do a research on the function indicator of residual current circuit breaker inhome and abroad, do a survey and analyze on the actual demand of users, toensure the functions and skills indicator of products.make an implement plan on the program and realize the set up and debug ofhardware circuit of each function mode.the design of software procedure. To accomplish the development of software,to optimize the program structure, to realize the normal operating of program.function debugging. To make each function mode debug together step by step,to solve the problems happen in the actual debugging, to lay a foundation ofmassive production.The paper introduces the related standard of intelligent residual current circuitbreaker and its theories, emphasizing on the selection of micro-processor, the designation of functional hardware circuit, the analysis of protection algorithm and the resolve ofseveral problems encountered in the actual designation. What’s more, the paper alsointroduces the functions of final products and its instructions. By doing the experiment,the design meet the predicted purpose basically and has a significant meaning in thefuture massive production.
