A Study Of Regional Expression For Architectural Design Of High-speed Railway Station

:As the local landmar, it must have a unique personality different from other public constructions. High-speed railway station provides not only a practical and reliable platform for public transportation, but also has important social meaning and aesthetic significance. However, the deeper understanding and direct analysis of regional expression for architectural design of high-speed railway stations are limited. Therefore, the present regional design for high-speed railway stations is of important practical significance for high-speed railway construction in China.Based on the systematic analysis of theories concerning regional design and the natural, cultural as well as technical influencing factors of high-speed railway stations design, the basic designing principle concerning adapting to natural environment, displaying cultural characteristics as well as traditional and modern technology application is conducted, which contributes to identifying regional expression of high-speed railway stations through imitation, implied meaning, metaphor, identifier creating, decoration, and landscape arrangement. The applicable strategy of the regionality of architectural design of high-speed railway stations is analyzed through total plane layout, integral shape, interior decoration, and architectural technology. A case study of Sanya and Nanjing high-speed railway station is utilized to explore the application for the regionality of architectural design of high-speed railway stations, which contributes to offering useful experience and reference for the regionality of high-speed railway stations design.
