ABSTRACT:Based on the sustainable development of urban residential space, class of megacities in Beijing, research about urban village transformation and the construction of affordable housing related issues, based on the proposed transformation of village inside city for affordable housing renovation of new ideas, purpose is through the transformation, on the one hand, eliminate on the negative externality of city village inside city, on the other hand to solve the current situation of the housing shortage, achieve the goal of win-win.This article from the perspective of sociology and architecture Angle, respectively, to explore the value of the urban village transformation housing feasibility, economic feasibility, feasibility and feasibility of space policy. Among them, the space matching degree is the basis of the feasibility of transformation, so in this paper, we focus from regional space, urban space and architectural space. So both on the spatial matching of architecture perspective transformation is the key basis of feasibility.The fifth chapter, the analysis of the uncertainty in the process of transformation, is a complement to the feasibility of transformation, and from the aspects of policy and implementation, forecast will be key points and difficulties facing the transformation process, and the preliminary solution is put forward.In general, this article is on the basis of summarizing the predecessors’ research, creative transformation of village inside city is put forward for housing the new train of thought, the purpose is to better solve the housing, a fundamental problem of the people’s livelihood, contributing to the sustainable development of urban residential space research.
