The area, withe hot summer and cold winter, accounts for about18.75%of ourcountry’s land area, living nearly300million rural population, which is the most denseon population and the better development on economy. Since2005, with theacceleration of the process of building a new socialist countryside, the rural residentialconstruction is booming, characterized by the renovation of village, and theimprovement of rural living environment. And there are springing up mang newvillages, which is in line with the regional climate characteristics, reflects the theemergence of a lot of features, retain the rural tradition, and is convenient for farmers’production and living. But at the same time, it also exposes its drawbacks that we paymuch attention to the external form and the excavation of traditional values and culture,while ignore the improvement of inner living quality.This essay takes Wuhan area as an example, through the analysis of climaticcharacteristics, the evolution of rural housing and the factors that affect the livingquality of rural housing, from climatic characteristics, the village layout, Residentialform, building technology, economy and other aspects of the basis social condition,according to the principles of AHP and maximum membership principle, analyzingand discussing the interaction relations between the influences of these aspects to thecomfort of the rural residential building, and to discuss the strategies to improve thecomfort of rural residential building, to improve the quality of new housingconstruction in rural areas.
