The station signal control system is the key to ensure running safety and raise transportation efficiency. Conventional structure of the existing station signal control system is the interlocking machine with safety relays, which transmits orders or collects information of the trackside signal equipment through the cable between signal building and station site. Because of the high-powered signals, this kind of structure used to face with many problems, such as expensive cost of cables, huge consumption of power, high difficulty of construction, inspection or maintenance, in addition, it do bring hidden dangers due to the weak performance of anti-thunder. With the rapid development of computer and micro-electronic technology, the signal control system is developing gradually towards the direction of "intelligent, network, electronic".This design uses the concept of" managing intensively, controlling dispersedly" to improve the existing station signal control system, puts forward a kind of intelligent electronic system with distributed architecture instead of the original design patterns called "relay+cable", the new system replaces the cables in signal building and the trackside signal equipment with high performance and low power consumption embedded system, which designed reasonable of its redundancy structure according to actual needs of railway station and the technical level of the related system.Building hardware test platform to realize the logic functions of system, and write a test interface integrating the function of interlock machine+monitoring machine, thus to form a minimum system test network to verify the feasibility of the design.Based on considerations of safety performance, choosing "TMS570" dual-core MCU of TI as main control chip of the embedded system, with the development of its peripheral function modules such as bus, timer, A/D transformation, thus realize the "host" and "slave" control panel with the combination of communication dedicated peripheral chips.On this basis, the system requirements and the performance of the control panel (communication rate, data storage, number of peripherals pins, etc.) are calculated and compared, and design a set of solution using FPGA chips to expand the peripheral interface pins of TMS570, solves the capability limitation of slave panel when combining with plenty of signal equipment due to the lack of peripheral interface pins of TMS570.Finally, complete the production, welding and debugging of the panel. The electronic control system not only greatly reduces the cost, but also be easy to extend and maintain. In addition, through electronic means, it greatly improves the diversity of gathering information, thus can combine the interlocking system with the monitoring system together to supervising the status of the station equipment in a more comprehensive, detailed way with higher instantaneity.
