Optoelectronic telescope is one of the most important components of dynamic photoelectric acquisition and tracking system, which is used to complete tasks of capturing, tracking and measuring targets. The master control computer branch system is an important part in optoelectronic telescope, in charge of subsystems' reciprocity. But the connatural complexity of subsystems' timing sequence logic will highly influence the performance of the master control computer that disposing the important and complicated arithmetic task. In addition, according to the material tasks and implementing condition, master control computer needs stated advanced and extended characters. Therefore, studying the function extending equipments to improve the performance of master control computer branch system is an important and valuable work.In order to make master control computer branch system advanced, real time and stability, fulfilling the increasing requirement of tasks and extending the corresponding functions. A solution scheme of intelligent communication interface controller based on the embedded system is put forward, and a technical idea is implemented. Namely its hardware is composed of advanced bus technology and Large Scale Integrated chip and its software is composed of embedded operating system to manage and control external devices' interfaces. The scheme liberates the master control computer from the heavy management of peripheral equipments, and makes the computer concentrate on the data and signal processing. Therefore, it could enhance the efficiency of the computer branch system. Also the scheme realizes some interfaces to make it highly extended.The main conclusions with creative ideas of the paper are as following:(1) The paper puts forward a solution scheme of intelligent communication interface controller based on the embedded system. Nowadays, interface controller based on 8-bits singlechip and x86 platform or data communication product based on 32-bits RISC cpu platform could be seen in China, while the intelligent communication interface controllers based on 32-bits RISC cpu and embedded operation system are singularly at present. A 32-bits RISC CPU controller card based on ARM920T and the ARMLINUX operating system is designed.(2) In order to make system compact and close coupling with the computer, the intelligent communication interface controller uses a PCI card, which is plugged in the PCI slot, finishing collecting, processing and exporting the data.(3) In order to make the controller have some expansibility, abundant interfaces are designed and the input/output interfaces are expanded. The design of memorizer uses a solution scheme of two grades, namely using a flash of lesser capacity and using a compact flash card to store operating system and other data.(4) In the design of controller's printed circuit board, high-speed PCB design method is used and signal integrity analysis of high speed digital circuit is performed, thus advancing the system's work performance, shortening the design period and reducing the system's cost.(5) Low level initializing software uses UBOOT software, designed under the circumstance of Linux operating system, which has whole source codes and expanding, effectively initializing hardware circuit, booting operating system and having interactive hardware circuit debugging scheme.(6) Presently the realized hardware platform of intelligent communication interface controller makes good bases for the software developers to make the LINUX drivers and application program.
