Research On High-voltage Intelligent Resistance Detector For Insulators

Due to the complex operating environment and long operation time,the insulators in the power system may caused the phenomenon of insulators’internal deterioration which can cause the failure.With the increasingly demand for power supply reliability,the deterioration of the insulators will be a direct threat to the safe and stable operation of the power system.In this paper, the author compared and analyzed with the existing insulators detection methods, and selected the insulation resistance method for the study, which to be widely used in the power system. Then the author analyzed and summarized the variation of the insulator in its internal deterioration process, and concluded the judgment in accordance with the insulator insulating state. Based on the judgment above, the author developed a equipment that can achieve the purpose of intelligent detection for insulators. This equipment can test the insulation resistance value of the insulators and judge the insulating state with it.According to the basic ideas of development and the main function of the equipment, author introduced the design of the device’s hardware and software part. The hardware including the power supply circuit, high-voltage DC power supply circuit, data acquisition system, output system and the control system. The software system consists of the interrupt program, data processing program, the insulator insulating state recognition program and data store/inquiry program.The result of the device debugging test and the insulator insulating state test for the insulators shows that the device can accurate detection of the insulator insulation resistance and recognize the insulation state effectively.The results indicated that the device has some outstanding and marked characteristics which can measure accurately, being portable, usage safe and powerful antijamming performance and so on. The development of this device can not only improve the working efficiency on insulator insulation state test, but also reduce malfunction probability to insulator which has great important significance to ensure the safety and stability for power system.
