Gas pipeline data is the foundation for gas pipeline inspection, maintenance and rescue. The currency of the data directly affects the efficiency of the emergency rescue work, and even affects the lives and property of the involved people. As the professional existing pipeline data acquisition and updating methods are low efficient, this cannot collect and update the quickly expanding pipeline data. Therefore, many gas pipeline companies have not complete and current gas pipeline data In order to solve this problem, a gas pipeline network change-only data collection method using inspection terminal and it’s incremental updating is presented in this thesis.The main work and contributions are listed as follows:(1) A method of detecting the changed tiles is presented, it greatly improves the accuracy of detection of the changed tile data of the server and increases the efficiency of the tile download for client tile data updating.(2) After analyzing the requirements of the incremental data of gas pipeline network collecting system, the combining vector pipe network data and tile raster data organization method is designed. After analyzing existed organization and updating process of incremental information, this paper designs and implements a program to gather and store pipeline incremental data based on inspection terminal, and further designs and implements some methods to extract updated areas and update the tiles within changed areas. After analyzing the actual need of multi-user data acquisition, a method to update inspection terminal data is proposed.(3) A gas pipeline incremental data acquisition and updating system is implemented using Eclipse+Android SDK and Visual Studio2010+ArcEngine10.1. The main functions include gas pipeline network change-only data collection in inspection terminal, accurate judgment of the changed tile, download the corresponding tiles from tiles server and update the tiles. Real data is used to check the effectiveness of this method.
