Mobile Inspection System For Urban Gas Pipeline Based On ArcGIS For Android

As our country continues to advance the level of urbanization,the construction of urban infrastructure continues to accelerate,the density of urban gas pipeline networks increases dramatically,and the structure becomes particularly complex.The traditional inspections of gas pipeline require employing a large number of people.They use paper maps with pen and paper to manually record pipeline information,which has been unable to effectively manage increasingly large urban gas pipelines.In order to improve the inspection efficiency and strengthen the information management of the pipeline system,it is urgent to find a digital method.In recent years,the mobile Internet technology has been rapidly developed,which is widely used in various industries,has changed people’s lifestyles.Mobile GIS technology combines Geographic Information System(GIS)technology and mobile Internet technology,and it is highly efficient in the processing and management of spatial data.It is an excellent choice to apply mobile GIS technology to pipeline management.Pipeline inspection system based on mobile GIS will be able to greatly improve the pipeline inspection level.This article is based on the Android platform and summarizes the application of domestic mobile GIS on pipelines,using the Java language and the application program interface provided by ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android to interact with server-side information to develop a Mobile Inspection System for Urban Gas PipelineThe system uses the online map service published by ArcGIS for Server by default,and supports offline map files.By comparing different offline map package files,I select the tile map package file as the offline base map file,and select the geodatabase file as the offline operational layer file.The system makes full use of the powerful GIS function of the application program interface provided by the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android to realize the basic functions of the map:map display,zoom-in and zoom-out,address query,positioning function,distance and area measurement and so on.Through the connection between the mobile internet and the server,combined with the actual pipeline inspection business,the assignment of inspection information tasks and the uploading of inspection information are realized.Through the design and research of gas pipeline inspection system,not only can improve the inspection efficiency of urban gas pipeline network,reduce the failure rate of pipeline operation,and effectively solve the problems faced in the management of urban gas pipeline network.It greatly improves the accuracy and timeliness of inspection feedback,and realizes the digital construction of the inspection system and accumulation of GIS data,which is beneficial to the data analysis and system maintenance in the future.
