The hydraulic valve is an important component in hydraulic system,which is usedto control the fluid pressure, flow rate and flow direction.It has an significant effect onthe performance, reliability and economy of hydraulic system.Spool valve withdouble-triangle-shaped notch is one of the non-circular opening spool valve, whichplaces several double-triangle-shaped notches axissymmetrically on the spool. It iswidely used because of its good control characteristic and convenient processing.This paper regards the double-triangle-shaped notch as the researching object, theresearch methods of theoretical analysis and flow field simulation are used to make asystematic analysis of the double-triangle-shaped notch valve port characteristic andsteady flow force, a test scheme of measuring flow force is designed.The flow areacalculation formula of double-triangle-shaped notch spool valve is derived, a generalcalculating program is compiled with MATLAB, and flow area characteristic isanalyzed. Due to the surface shape, flow jet angle and steady flow force will changewith the valve opening degree of double-triangle-shaped notch spool valve, thusdifferent calculation model of the internal cavity between valve sleeve and valve coreat different opening degree is established with GAMBIT. And FLUENT is used tosimulate in different boundary conditions of different pressure and different flow rate,and the pressure distribution of flow field, flow characteristic of valve port and steadyflow force on the valve core are obtained.In this paper, Computational fluid dynamic(CFD) and theoretical analysis are usedto investigate the flow characteristic of orifice and the caculation of the steady flowforce. The content and conclusions of the paper on notch spool valve orifice’s areacharacteristics, flow characteristic and its caculation theory is supplemented, whichalso provides a new method for the caculation of steady flow force of thedouble-triangle-shaped notch spool valve. Meanwhile, This paper also theoreticallydiscusses the transient flow force caused by pressure change rate, and a test scheme offlow force is designed.The research has guiding significance for understanding the control performanceand offers reference for double-triangle-shaped notch’s design. Meanwhile, the research can provide a basis for the design of the driving element such as electricmechanical converter and the hydraulic amplifier.
