With the development of integrated avionics technology, a higher requirementof bandwidth, reliability and expansibility has been proposed to systeminterconnected bus. FC-AE-1553, taking the advantages of fibre channel technologyand compatible with the existing MIL-STD-1553B, has great potential in newgeneration interconnected network in avionics system. FC-AE-1553NetworkController (NC) is a essential component of the network to control datatransmission, so it has great significance for building FC-AE-1553testing andverification systems.According to the result of a detailed demand analysis, an scheme based onunderlying interface data transceiver and upper layer processor control is proposed.On the basis of completing the hardware circuit, a Qsys system with NIOS IIembedded processor is built in the FPGA and it achieves the logic reuse ofsubsystem level. Then, the fibre channel interface logic is developed and sendingand receiving frame data at1.0625Gbps is completed. In addition, thedual-redundancy structure of interface and the corresponding switching mechanismare proposed and it improves the reliability of Switch Fabric. Finally, the keytechnology of RDMA is achieved by designing RDMA controller to complete thedirect data access between fibre channel interface and DDR II. This will avoidprocessor archiving large data and improve the efficiency of transmission.In the design of software, a program of login service control, configurationanalysis and transmission control is finished in NIOS II processor and it achievesthe functions of NC. Beside, a VPP specification compatible instrument driver isdesigned by using the VISA programming interface. And operation of configuration,data injection and display to the module can be achieved by using the instrumentdriver in application.In order to test the login service process and functions of the module, a hybridbus testing system based on Switch Fabric is built. The test result shows thatsoftware can coordinate with the hardware correctly and the functionality and technical specifications of FC-AE-1553network controller meet the designrequirements.
