With the growth of population, accelerating speed of urbanization, people arepursuing for better living environment, the increasing number of new residential plansare choosing their location in the mountain area. The mountain residential area has it’sspecific characteristics, it is not only generally influnced by regional climate but alsohas it’s unique micro climate. As one of the most important micro climate index, thewind environment’s safe, comfort, health is crucial to the mountain residential area’sliving environment. The research takes the modern mountain residence of XuZhou asthe object and uses the latest computational fluid dynamics software to simulate themountain residential area’s wind environment. In order to provide supportive formountain residential area’s planning and construction in XuZhou, the studysummarizes the relevant strategies according to the simulation and evaluation of thequality of the mountain residential area’s wind environment.The paper is divided into five chapters and the main research is as follows: Thefirst chapter introduces the background, purpose, meaning, methods and researchstatus. The second chapter first defines the concept of wind environment andmountain land. And then analyzes the characteristics of regional climate of XuZhouand micro climate characteristics of two objects. Combining the characteristicsanalysis with inductive research of domestic&abroad wind environment qualityevalution methods, the paper identifies the research evaluation method. According tothe method, it calculates the wind velocity, frequency and continuing time in winter’sevaluation, and it uses the WBGT index system in summer. In the third chapter, in thebasis of analyzing&comparing the characteristics of simulative softwares used inwindenvironment, the research chooses Phoenics software as it’s simulation tool andset the simulation date. And then the paper carries out two objects’ wind velocity&directions simulations of ShanShuiWan&GuoJiChengBang, using previousstatement evaluation methodlogy&actual messurement quatitative evaluation toestimate the quality of Wind Environment in the two Residential areas. And the resultstestfies the simulative software’s veracity. Based on the previous work, the fouthchapter puts forward relevant strategies about mountain residential area’s planningincluding location selection, residence planning, residential building design andlandscape planning. At last, the chapter summarizes the research results and thinksabout the deficiency&prospects of the research.The study hopes to provide certain quidelines for the projects and construction design in Mountain Residential Areas in XuZhou. Besides, it is a meaningfulexploration to cold area’s wind environment under the influence of monsoon inMountain Residential Areas.
