As we all know, environment pollution and energy shortage problem have becomeincreasingly severe in today`s society. There is no doubt that electric cars as a kind ofhigh efficiency and energy saving, low-carbon environmental protection transportplayed an important role in reducing air pollution and energy consumption,and to some extent ease the traffic pressure. Our country is the most populous countryin the world, nature is also a big consumers, so we have a large demand of electric carwhich is a kind of convinent and fast transport. At present, although China`s electriccar production ranked first in the world, but it is also in short supply compared with thebroad demand space, and the related electric car technologies is uneven in our country,it still exists a big gap compared with the foreign advanced technology, so developinga superior performance electric car controller still has broad application value andpractical significance.In this paper, research objectives is based on brushless DC motor controller forelectric vehicle, the master chip using STM32microcontroller which is manufacturedby STMicroelectronics. Theoretical research on the basic structure of the brushless DCmotor, working principle and common control strategy basis, combined with directtorque control technology, research and design of a brushless DC motor controller, andconducting its actual hardware testing and software emulation. The subject wereanalyzed and studied mainly from the following aspects.Firstly, this paper introduces the basic structure and working principle ofbrushless DC motor and establishes its differential equations model and transferfunction model. Secondly, it introduces several common brushless DC motor controlstrategy and does a detailed description of the direct torque control strategy, which isadopted in this paper, mainly introduces the basic features and principles of directtorque control, direct torque control works involved stator flux observer, the observedelectromagnetic torque, voltage space vector and inverter switches and the stator fluxpartition and switch table selection and other key aspects have done a more detaileddescription, and established the overall system solution of a brushless DC motor DirectTorque Control of. Then introduced STM32microcontroller features and its minimumsystem application circuit, which is chosen by the topic. On this basis designed the entire hardware circuit of brushless DC motor control system and the preparation ofthe corresponding software control program. Finally,conducting hardware testing anddata analysis of the control system and building a simulation model of a brushless DCmotor direct torque control system in the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulationenvironment. Through comparative analysis of simulation results with the actualhardware software test data to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of this projectdesign.
