Under the background of highly concentrated of urban functions and spaceresources, series of problems emerge inpedestrian system of mountain city centralarea, such aspath discontinuity, poor connectivity and inefficient. In order to solve theseproblems, this paper proposes a solution way-three-dimensional walk Systems, bywhich a variety of urban elements can be integrated and build.According to thiscontinuous,three-dimensionalwalking system, improvingthe operational efficiency ofthe city. This article is based onsummary of research and practice related tothree-dimensionalpedestrian in worldwide, combining theory of compact city andthree-dimensional urban together. The central pedestrian system in Hong Kong andChongqing is contrasted from three aspects: physical space, live performance anddevelopment intentions.Strategic of three-dimensional walking system is build, basedon the experience of Hong Kong. And furthermore, the ways of improving adaptabilityand maneuverability in control mechanisms are described. This paper is divided intofive chapters:The first chapter is introduction. Based on the analysis to the causes of walkingsystem become three-dimensional in central area, the purpose and significance of thestudy is established;Secondly, the study’s scope and concepts are defined and explained, summarized of the relevant researches in worldwide and organization of the studymethodology and framework laying the foundation for further study. The second chapter is thedevelopment basis and significance of three-dimensionalpedestrian in Mountain city central area. After the overview of Chongqing and HongKong walking system development process, current situation and problems, Offered towalk three-dimensional system of urban policy-intensive Proposing walking systemconstruction mode; and summarize its function and role in the mountain city.Survey and contrast of three-dimensional pedestrian in Hong Kong and Chongqingis carried out in the third chapter from three aspects: physical space, live performanceand development intentions. On this basis, deep problems and gaps in Chongqing anddesign strategies and lessons learned in Hong Kong is summarized. In the fourth chapter, design strategy and control methods are proposed from areasof pre-planning, design and planning and implementation of management, takingwalking system status in Chongqing’s central areaand peculiarities in economic andcultural as basis.Chapter V isconclusions and prospects of the research, which summarizing thecontent of proposed research deficiencies and raising prospects for future research.
