| Indemnificatory Housing is a crucial livelihood issue that drawsconsiderable attention from the Central Committee of CPC and the StateCouncil.Indemnificatory housing is the society’s housing commitment tolow-income families.This paper will conduct series feasibility researches in terms ofhousing typologies, areas and residents, it will also propose someguidelines and design methodology to the design of IndemnificatoryHousing such as the diversify and refine of small apartments while areais limited. Those guidelines will meet people’s desire of improving theliving conditions.In the beginning, this paper will set up some design rules.Firstly,certain housing typologies and combinations will be explored accordingto the Shanghai family structure. The feasibility study of correspondingusing area and GFA will be discussed as well. Secondly, key design issuesof Elastic dwelling space will be summarized in terms of highly adaptivehousing typologies and internal division. Thirdly, appropriate size ofdifferent types of spaces will be analyzed. Lastly, multi-functionaladaptability will be explored and discussed. This research will analyzethe typologies, dwelling areas, special compositions of IndemnificatoryHousing in accordance to two documents from the State Government andShanghai local authority.By considering the real-life usage, this paper will propose seriesdesign solutions such as design guidelines, dwelling areas, elasticdwelling spaces, standard width of rooms, balcony shapes and sizes.Through technical analysis of such those issues, more scientific,rationaland operable policies will be drawn up. By conducting comparisons betweeneconomical efficiency and dwelling areas of indemnificatory housingtypologies, this research will propose some recommendations regards tothe balance between economic efficiency and practicality. This researchwill also proposes series solutions of the general planning, architectureoutcomes and details regards to Indemnificatory Housing. |
