Study Of The Construction Quality Control System Based On Business Process Management

The economic rapid growth has promoted the construction industry. According tothe requirements of the people, the structure of the construction project is becomingmore and more complex, the resources of usage are also increasing. Therefore, it isextremely important to enhance the construction project management. Projectmanagers always regard quality control as the first goal of the project triangle quality,costs and timeμ, because the construction quality has a close relationship with thecommunity, has influences on every people·s life. Therefore, quality control is the keypoint of the whole life construction project management. This is also the reason whythe writer selects it to be the research object.The competitive marketing environment has enforced the construction companiesto consider how to enhance their core competences to obtain long-term survival aswell as in an invincible position. Process management is just to provide an effectivesolution to this issue. This dissertation introduces advanced process managementtheory to the quality control of the construction project management, the traditionalquality control is analyzed and optimized in the dissertation to improve theconstruction quality and then to achieve increase core competitiveness of companiespurpose. To achieve those aims, the dissertation forms a process-management-basedquality control system, the key element of this research.According to the literature review, this dissertation compares and analyzesconstruction quality control, process management, and the application of processmanagement in practice at home and abroad. To form a process-management-basedquality control system, the paper analyzes theories relating to the system: in thequality control aspect, concepts, processes （involving construction period andconstruction sequence）, and contents （4M1E） are introduced; in the processmanagement aspect, concepts with the deeply understanding of its core ideas arerelated, an analysis between process management and information technology isdiscussed later. Several analytical methods are introduced and used in the qualitycontrol system including target decomposition method, critical factors method, andflow chart method. In forming of the process-management-based quality controlsystem, the structure of the system is described at the beginning, then four dimensions（from objective to process to technic and to communication） are analyzed toillustrate the functions of the system, in the end put the system into practice tosummarize practical issues and give proposals to those issues.
