In recent years, with the increase in traffic volume and heavy vehicles, the destruction ofthe bridge deck pavement has become one of the major diseases of the road, not only causedhuge economic losses, but also bring traffic safety problems. Epoxy asphalt has been widelyused in the bridge deck pavement because of its high strength and high temperature stability. The mechanical characteristics of epoxy asphalt deck pavement play an important role in thematerial design. So analysis of mechanical has important practical significance for the rationaldesign of epoxy asphalt pavement. This paper established the concrete bridges finite element model with the example of anactual project. According to the project, the deck pavement periodic boundary conditions andinitial conditions were determined by investigating Xi’an meteorological data. Then useABAQUS finite element software to calculate the temperature field of deck pavement and getpavement temperature field variation.According mechanical analysis of deck pavement under vehicle loads in differentlocations, the shear stress between pavement layers and maximum tensile stress of layers weredetermined to be control index, the results show that the most unfavorable load position islocated in the outermost3/8span of the bridge. By analyzing the influence of pavementstructure and material parameters on the bridge deck pavement stress state under the mostunfavorable position, the paper found that increasing the thickness of the upper layer ofpavement, the pavement to reduce the magnitude of the maximum transverse tensile stress ismore obvious, the stress state of pavement was improved. Lower modulus of pavement canalso effectively improve the stress state. The paper found that the temperature stress of deckpavement decreased with pavement lower modulus increased or pavement upper modulusdecreased. Pavement layer thickness exists a critical value, when the pavement layer thicknessis greater than the critical thickness, temperature stress increases with the thickness of thepavement increased, when the pavement layer thickness is less than the critical thickness, temperature stress decreases with thickness of the pavement increased.By the above analysis and bridge deck theory, the paper proposed the index and themethod of pavement structural design.
