With China’s reform and opening up, the rural-urban integration, accelerating industrialization, rapidincrease of population, the increasing water pollution incident, the people are increasingly concerned aboutthe problem of drinking water and water conflicts gradually. Therefore, the construction of long-distancewater diversion project is particularly necessary, and it can solve this problem. With the construction oflong-distance water transfer projects gradually increased, water pipes burst pipes were frequent. And it canlose a lot of time and money. Scholars and engineers should pay attention to the issues of water hammerprotection, thus, water hammer protection issues are more worthy of attention and study.This article briefly describes the gas-liquid two-phase flow pattern in the pipe, the flow into eachother in six states between poor exhaust major hazards, focuses on the establishment and application ofgas-liquid two-phase flow model and dammed streams. And also describes the transient flow pressurepipes (water hammer) calculation method of analysis, feature line differential equations and finitedifference equations simplify. This paper describes the boundary conditions of the water hammerprotection, water pipes and water hammer pressure characteristic analysis classification analysis andtechnical analysis of the water pipeline protection. The purpose is to reduce water hammer cavities collapsing hazards andensure the normal operation of a similar diversion project, and this method has the reference value andprovides reference for similar projects in the water hammer protection.
