With the rapid development of China’s aviation industry, the sustained strong growth of air trafficflow and the rapid development of regional economy, metroplex phenomenon has been springing up.Metropolitan areas with high traffic demand are often served by two or more airports whose arrivaland departure operations are highly interdependent. Intensive airport layout, crowded airspace andhigh-desnsity traffic flow has serious impact on flights operations in the metroplex terminal area, resulting in a large number of flight delays and economic losses. In order to solve this problem, this paper began with the conclusion of existing researchachievements on related aspects, given the definition of metroplex terminal area, refined the relativityof operation and the main problems, and then solving ideas dealling with metroplex terminal area wasproposed. Next, the existing sequencing methods of arrival flights in the metroplex terminal area wassummarized and compared. Then, considering a variety of constraints, such as the separation andordering constraint at shared sequencing points in the metroplex, established the model of sequencingof aircraft during landing phases of flights based on fixed routes and designed a genetic algorithm toachieve the model, the model was validated by an example. The results showed that the proposedapproach is scientific to solve above questions and can reduce flight delays and delay cost. In theaspect of the route selection is not unique, the concept of mixed-displacement strategy was introduced, through reasonable arrangements of the path to each flight, sequencing for arrival flights to improvethe metroplex terminal area resource utilization of airspace, thereby reducing flight delays. Finally, metroplex decision support system has been designed, which includes the timeline module, the trafficsituation display module, load chart module and database module and then the interface requirementsand functions of the system has been detailed described. The coordinated metroplex system stronglysupports the implement of metroplex terminal area scheduling policy. |
