With the development of our country’s modernization construction in the Midwestand more and more winding road have been constructed. A large number of slopesprone to landslides, it posed a threat to the safety of passer-by. The dangerous slopesneed to be monitored in order to ensure the security of passed vehicles so establish asound slope monitoring system is desired.The communication system of slope monitoring system has a higher demand forcoverage area and system invulnerability. On the other hand, the related monitoringdepartment expect the slope monitoring system cost is reasonable. Wireless sensornetwork (WSN) technology developed rapidly in recent years so this paper studies theslope monitoring system based on wireless sensor network technology. The wholeprocess involves the communication requirements analysis of slope monitoring system,communication model building, and the introduction of wireless sensor network (WSN)technology.Wireless sensor network (WSN) technology has the advantage of convenientinstallation and system cost, the disadvantage is that low communication bandwidth andpoor real-time performance. This article focuses on ensure the advantages of WSNtechnology will not be lost and increase its real-time performance to some extent in theprocess of building the whole communication model. In addition, this paper introducedthe related knowledge of communication equipment that applied in this research, thehardware and software design is also one of the research content of this article.Innovative results as follows.①A simple and efficient WSN protocol is designed and the protocol architecturedivided into four layers. The link layer is based on IEEE802.15.4the networking modeand CSMA/CA technology is improved. The Routing layer mainly based on theRIP,AODV technology, a new solution for routing loops put forward and a cooperationway for link protocol and routing protocol is designed in this paper.②According to the constraints of the slope actual communication, an applicationsoftware slow upgrade method puts forward in this paper.WSN technology apply in the Slope monitoring system can effectively reduce thedifficulty and the cost of the monitoring equipment installation also make long timeautomatic monitoring and unattended operation come true.The slope monitoring system designed in this research has been used for dangerous slope monitoring, by analyzingthe system monitoring data that back to the system server, prove that the set ofequipment working properly and its performance can meet the expected requirement.
