In today’s rapid development of urbanization, urban traffic, traffic congestion problem caused by unbalanced and periodicity distributed traffic flow has become the bottleneck of urban development. It is imperative to solve this problem by using modern intelligent transportation system. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) although relatively appear late, it has shown a good momentum of rapid development of new things. At the same time, it has proved that it is very suitable to solve the traffic problems mentioned above in the last few years. One of the key technologies involved in this process, the main research object that is the media access control. However how to design an energy-balanced and efficient MAC protocol is the research empha-sis and hot spots in recent years. Therefore, according to the actual traffic flow real-time monitoring information, this paper proposes a wireless sensor network MAC protocol based on weight priority service.Firstly, the MAC protocol frame based on the basic data exchange unit is design to meet the real-time demands of the system. The agreement readjusts the dynamic behavior of the frame of the node, according to the importance of the data acquainte-d by node and network load. When the system traffic overload, sensor nodes change their way to get the channel access variable access for competition cycle from cycle; on the other hand, to maintain the original state, without any change. So, as far as possible to ensure real-time data transmission and the utilization ratio of channel was also improved.Secondly, we design a priority service strategy. According to the Comprehensive evaluation of the categories of information acquisition and perception module source of two factors, uses the classification algorithm, the priority weights for real-time data identification is determined. Then, according to the actual wireless communication resources and wireless channel situation of city road around and priority information, the strategy allocates channels reasonably to distinguish access nodes, which not only ensure the node send transfinite data flow and important data assigned a better chann-el, but also ensure the real-time transmission of important and real-time information. In this way, we can also guarantees the system dynamic real-time, and improve the efficiency of network transmission.Finally, using the network simulation software NS-2 to simulate the actual netwo- rk scenarios, by changing the simulation parameters, the repeated experiments, verify the design of this paper which has obvious advantages. In order to make the system more perfect, this paper also combined with the actual realization of small informatio-n on monitoring system, to further verify the reasonable and effective of the design.
