The Evaluation And Discussion On The Model Of Eco-city In Nanchang

Since the1980s, domestic and foreign scholars began to research eco-city. Theythink that the establishment of the ecological city is the best way to solute the humancrisis and get rid of city dilemma. In1992, after the United Nations conference onenvironment and development, on the drive of sustainable development theory andpractice in “21century agenda”, the "eco-city" got the attention and acceptance allover the world. Especially in the new century,“low carbon eco-city” was newlyproposed, will push the research of eco-city to a new high.This paper takes the urban area of Nanchang as the research object, establishingthe eco-city construction evaluation index system. According to the principalcomponent analysis method, this thesis using10(2000-2009) years index data ofNanchang to analysis the situation of the construction of eco-city in tow aspects: theability of the construction of eco-city and the coordination degree of the subsystem ofeco-city. This paper evaluates the ability of the eco-city construction mainly in threeaspects from the second level of evaluation index system: ecological economy,ecological society and the ecological environment. Finally, according to theadvantages and problems of the present situation of eco-city construction in Nanchang,the reasonable mode of eco-city is put forward.In summary, this paper can be concluded as follows:(1) Advantage factors ofeco-city construction in Nanchang include superior geographical position, abundantnatural resources, beautiful living environment, and acceleration in infrastructureconstruction, but the resources utilization rate is low, atmospheric pollution, noisepollution, low level of the residents’ lives and living standard, the shortage of publictransport resources, social welfare and social security in low level has become theNanchang limiting factors of eco-city construction.(2) From the evaluation of theconstruction ability of eco-city in ecological economic, ecological society andecological environment from2000to2009, the points as follows: the first, the abilityof ecological economic construction improve overall, but improve slowly, theunreasonable industrial structure, the extensive form of industrial production and theinnovation ability of the enterprise are the constraints. Second, the construction abilityof ecological society is fluctuation growth; there are inharmonious factors in socialdevelopment. The allocation of social resources is not reasonable; the construction ofsocial security system is inadequate. Third, the construction ability of ecologicalenvironment in2007years later improve obviously, is mainly because of the policiesthat support the environment construction investment increased, citizens’environmental protection consciousness has been strengthened, etc.(3) Theevaluation of the construction Comprehensive ability of eco-city in Nanchang is risingin recent10years.(4) From the analysis in the construction coordination of Nanchang, the subsystems of eco-cities tends gradually coordinate. The state of coordinate istransformed from low level in2000to a high coordination degree in2009. But,compared with domestic4cities, the coordination degree of subsystems in eco-city isstill low, mainly because the development foundations of ecological economic andecological environment are weak.(5) According to the evaluation of comprehensiveability and the present situation of eco-city construction in Nanchang, the reasonablemode of eco-city is put forward-low carbon eco-city. Mainly in three aspects: theconstruction of ecological industry and ecological community, and the developmentmodel of ecological environment.
