With the rapid development of computer technology, the application of simulation technology has become more and more widely, as the key link of the tobacco commercial distribution center, the efficiency of the cigarette sorting system has directly effects on the whole work efficiency of the distribution center. Therefore, the core research on tobacco commercial distribution center is the study of cigarette sorting system. The computer simulation technology has unique advantages in the fields of cigarette sorting system research, but there always be more reality problems during the simulation modeling, such as the huge workload of model building and resistance to modification. The research on sorting system modular simulation platform of commercial tobacco combine the modular theory has been put forward based on above situation.Firstly, the operation process of cigarette sorting system has comprehensively been introduced and analyzed, also the Sorting strategy and the layout of sorting system have been set forth in this paper. The cigarette sorting system was divided into three modular, the sorting order modular, sorting equipment modular and sorting control modular, those 3 modular also had been divided into 8 submodular. The modeling solutions were presented that aimed at the characteristics of every submodular. The simulation models of sorting equipment modular and sorting control modular were built by using Automod, including the Vertical and Horizontal cigarette sorting machine and cigarette complement system. The approaches to realize the modular’s reusable based on the modularized modeling by using Automod also have been analyzed.Secondly, the emphasis of this paper is the processing and cutting of original order data. In order to let the order-cutting realized quickly, theExcel VBA was used for developing the order-cutting tool combine with the order-cutting theory and principle. Following these five steps will let the order-cutting realized, original order data format conversion, number of sorting brands statistics, distribution of cigarette sorting channel, distribution of sorting order and generate order data.Finally, as the specifically object of study, the simulation model of cigarette sorting system in Tsingtao cigarette distribution center had been built and run to get the data. The effect of conveyor system speed and the order structure on the sorting efficiency was analyzed based on the simulation data. The modular simulation model work was evaluated from three indicators.To achieve the modules’ reusability through those three ways, creation of standardized modules, establish standardized procedures structures and optimize the model structure. For simplifying the simulation modeling work of Cigarette sorting system in tobacco business distribution centers has some relevance, it just need to build the simulation model by using the standardized modules in the later simulation modeling work, it can greatly shorten the time of modeling and simulation, the simulation efficiency will be greatly improved.
