Nowadays, Fine chemical engineering is one of the most dynamic emerging field in chemical industry and the development prospect is considerable. In recent years, domestic number of new investment in fine chemical industry project started construction in succession. Due to the considerable economic benefit when programs put into operation, generally construction unit will compress the construction period, trying to shorten the construction cycle. The complexity of a large fine chemical project decides different uncertainties in design, purchase, construction, and it will influence the final construction schedule. So each construction unit needs to effectively control construction progress by drawing up scientific and reasonable plan.A successful project requires safety, punctual and qualified engineering. Effective management method of project progress is the basic of project progress which implemented by construction units. This thesis first introduces project progress management present situation of domestic petrochemical project and project progress management research present situation at home and abroad. Next it focus on DFSH fine chemical engineering first-stage project, analyzed specific general situation, according to the modern organization management theory formed a project department and allocated responsibilities reasonably. System analysis was carried out on the project characteristics and risks by setting the milestone plan, decomposing process structure, analyzing process logical relationship and estimating work time. Using P6 software to compile the project progress plan, optimizing and adjusting project progress by regulating time limit for a project, optimizing cost, balancing resources and so on. Then it discusses the main control technique and theory of the project progress, it introduces application method and function in project management of PDCA dynamic control mechanism and weighted values progress dynamic control method, and how to control it dynamically and correct an error timely. Finally it summarizes beneficial measures in project progress control.
