Design Research And Practice On Double Warp And Double Weft Gradient Color Jacquard Fabric

Through a systematic research and analysis on design principle and method of gradient color jacquard fabric, this paper proposes a design principle and method for double warp double weft gradient color jacquard fabric. Based on the establishment of fabric weave structure design model and the analysis for the structure characteristics of gradient color jacquard fabric, a set of reasonable and scientific weave design method is provided, in addition, the results of weaving experiment and color measurement experiment for color card proves that this method of weave design is of feasibility, which fabric weave designed with can express gradient color effect on jacquard fabric. With respect to the features of double warp and double weft jacquard fabric structure and it’s color expression, this research put forward effective method of pattern design and method of fabric structure design, which play the role of technical guidance during the design process of gradient color jacquard fabric, along with,the effect of design practice shows that double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric can express good smooth colorful shading effect on fabric face,tally with the expected fabric effect.Firstly, according to the related research and literatures, the research status and development trend of gradient color jacquard fabric are analyzed based on premise of learning the basic knowledge about color and fabric weaving color expression principle. An innovative design method is carried out. In this method, gradient color effect on jacquard fabric is expressed on double-layer structure arranged with double warp yarn and double weft yarn through the interaction of weft and warp. Moreover, under the double layer structure design mode, build the structure design model of double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric on the base of color design principle and weave structure design principle, provides a theoretical reference for the weave design of jacquard fabric.Secondly, based on double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric structure design model and it’s requirement for gradient color,completed the gradient colored card design, put forward the feasible weave design method and the organization ways for the database of fabric weaves, in doing so, the database of fabric weaves of three types color card are established. From the results of weaving experiment and color measurement experiment, found that the weave has the effective ability of express gradual change color on fabric face, and double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric can express four groups of mixed color uniform gradient transition nature, has good effect of shading change.Finally, in the stage of design practice, concrete method of pattern design and method of fabric structure design are put forward on the basis of double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric design principle and the consideration of the technical requirement of gradient color effect. By using these methods, four groups design and production of jacquard fabric are carried on, the feasibility and practical application value are verified. The effect of real jacquard fabric shows that fabrics can express the ideal gradient color effect and can maintain and restore the artistic features of the jacquard patterns.The research on double warp and double weft gradient color jacquard fabric is a basic research of gradual color change jacquard fabric innovation design, which can help realize the multi-color gradient jacquard fabric effect. This study provides a theoretical basis and methodology for the innovative design of gradient color jacquard fabric, and provides a new direction for jacquard fabric innovation research.
