As the core component of turbomachinery integral impeller, is widely used in aviation, aerospace, automotive and other fields, are a type of representative and more standardized modeling, typical complex curved surface parts. Machining quality and machining accuracy have great influence on its performance. With the development of five-axis NC Machining Technology, to solve the problem of the complicated curved surface parts machining, but the machining quality and the machining accuracy still need to be further studied and improved.Aiming at improving the process quality and accuracy in CNC machining of integrated impellers, the technological features of the five-axis NC machining of the integral impeller are analyzed and cutting tools and cutting parameters affect the quality of machining integral impeller, cutting force, tool wear, blade deformation, cutting tool path are the factors that affect the machining accuracy of the integral impeller, to put forward the process plan for high efficiency machining of integral impeller. According to the structure characteristic and machining difficulties of integral impeller, the key techniques of the tool path planning, the smoothing process of cutter axis vector and the selection of cutter parameters in the integral impeller machining and the key techniques of high quality and high-efficiency APT are studied. On the basis of the combination of five-axis CNC machine processing function, The special control instruction of HEIDENHAIN i TNC530 numerical control system, such as RTCP function, PLANE inclined plane machining function, M140 along the axial withdrawal function and so on. To develop the suitable for the special post processor of the machining of integral impeller based on IMSpost, to achieve the purpose of precise on NC program, optimizing integral impeller, effectively improve the efficiency of the machining quality and machining of integral impeller.Production applications show: According to the characteristics of the integral impeller front to generate efficient APT statement, the development of integral impeller special-purpose post processor to generate NC program, and effectively improve the integral impeller passage, blade, root fillet surface and other key parts of the surface quality and precision. Meanwhile, it also plays the machining advantages of high performance CNC machine for the manufacture of parts of the impeller to provide technical support.
