The integral impeller is the key part of the turbine engine, whose form is standard and it is a typical surface complex-type part。It is widely used in aviation, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, national defense and other industries. In order to realize the 5-axis CNC machining of integral impeller, optimization of cutting parameters and improving processing quality for complex surface parts, With the support of national key special project, that is the machining technology of the typical components of aerospace high-speed multi-axis, the CNC processing technology of integral impeller that is CAD/CAM and simulation technologies is deeply researched in this thesis.Firstly, in the Pro/Engineer environment, the parametric modeling for the overall impeller was established, and the technological process of the impeller for multi-axis CNC machining was investigated. The key technology problems of CNC machining for the integral impeller was resolved, such as the selection and clamping of the blank, programming zero setting, the selection of the cutting tools, the setting of the cutting parameters.Secondly, by using the special integral impeller machining strategy implements of the PowerMILL software, rough and finish machining for the blade and hub respectively in the mode of "impeller area clear model", "blade finishing" and "hub finishing" were done, and the correct tool path were given. The structure and the working process of the post-processor, the implication of the machine tools option file based on the PowerMILL, the setting method of specific machine tools option file are investigated in this thesis. In the five-axis machining center MCV850-5, the machine options files were made, and the NC machining program is generated. Using VERICUT simulation software for cutting simulation, the problems of over-cut and interference in the cutting process were resolved, and the machining effect graph of the impeller was obtained. In the five-axis machining center, the actual try cutting for the impeller was carried out, by constantly optimizing the cutting parameters and reducing the impact factors to improve the surface quality.Finally, by orthogonal experiment and range analysis, the surface roughness obtained in different cutting parameter combinations were analyzed by the range analysis mode to study the cutting parameters influence on the surface roughness of the integral impeller, and the optimal cutting parameters combination was found out, which will have introductive significance for improving the machining level of the integral impeller.
