The Research And Design Of The Excavator Remote Monitoring System Based On The GPRS

Excavator is one of the most important production tools of open pit mine. It is used as the main extraction equipment by various types of mining enterprises in our country. It has important significance for opencast mining to make excavators work safety and efficiently. Because of the large area of mine, complex terrain, imperfect infrastructure, and the wide distribution of excavator, it is difficult to manage excavator. It causes some problems such as the high cost of repairing or the short working life. The excavators produced by some well-known excavator manufacturers abroad such as P&H and Bucyrus provide some monitoring function, but those excavators have stringent requirements and special network is needed, high cost in production and incomplete in function. Those excavators is not suitable for the actual production conditions in China’s open pit mine, so it is difficult to popularize in our country. But mining enterprises in China use a large number of excavators with no monitoring function produced by Taiyuan, Fushun heavy industry manufacturing.According to the current situation of mine enterprises excavator ’ operation of production in China, it have designed a excavator remote monitoring system based on STM32F107VCT6, a 32-bit microcontroller, and GPRS wireless transmission technology. The system includes data acquisition terminal design and remote monitoring software design. Data acquisition terminal has designed main control module, analog acquisition and preprocessing module, the switch signal acquisition preprocessing module, remote wireless transmission module and display module. The remote monitoring software has designed the software worked for server and the monitoring software worked on PC. The server receives data sent by acquisition terminal though GPRS network. The monitoring software on PC displays data obtained from the server by WEB. Then it sends out the prompt information based on the range of the previous setting value.The system has been installed to many excavators of JISCO group and Jin Chang group, which can gain the electrical parameters, real-time, working place, working temperature and other relevant information of excavators. It uploads these data information to the server. PC clients can gain data from the server.According to the working environment of excavators, system has made seismic design and used the flexible connection. The system has the advantages of high precision signal acquisition, monitoring and comprehensive content, the computer management of powerful function, friendly man-machine interface.
