With the rapid development of communication and network, Using wirelessmonitoring systems to gather well data and working state of oil monitor is a directiondevelopment.The article proposes and designs a program of remote monitoring system for oilwells based on GPRS. The oil-extractors control unit, remote data transmission unitand data processing unit in the monitoring center forms this system. The system cancollect current,voltage, pressure,position data and load and then transmit the datato the network through GPRS network. So the control center cane get tdhe working datathrough INTERNET according protocol. The control center making use of monitoringclient software can deal with all these data, such as display,data entering and so on.Also the center can install terminals’ working parameter and can alter anyone of theterminals to send continues status data.The remote monitoring system was being tested on oil field hardware andsoftware working stably. It not only has the value of engineering reference,but alsoreflects the rationality practicability and advancement in practice.
