Single-stage electromagnetic needle selection is representative of advanced technology computerized flat knitting machine needle selection field. This kind of needle selection is only used on computerized flat knitting machine of S TOLL company in Germany, there is no mature domestic product. In view of this situation, this paper designs a single-stage electromagnetic needle selection and needle control algorithm after studies the structure and control of needle selection. The main contents and contributions are as follows:1. The paper analyzes the structure and principle of needle selection, using the magnetic circuit design method of the design structure of needle selection. After the permanent magnets and the yoke needle selection used to select suitable magnetic material, deduced needle selection magnetic circuit equation, combined needle selection design requirements, determine the permanent magnet, the yoke size parameters, while the selection blade, solenoid have also been designed. The software simulation and actual test results is given to confirm the design.2. The paper analyzes the principle of the needle position detection, subdivides magnetic grid sensor output signal by using microcomputer subdividing algorithm, access to meet the accuracy requirements of the displacement signal. Simultaneous changes in the output signal of the displacement, to make it consistent with the characteristics of needle position detection.3. In the needle advance control, the paper considering the influence of the velocity and acceleration of the needle advance, designs needle advanced control algorithm based on fuzzy control, get the needle advance fuzzy control query table. The test results show that the control algorithm to control the needle advance selection is correct and effective.
