The Theme Knitwear Design And Production Based On Computerized Flat Knitting Machine

With the changes and advances of computerized flat knitting machine technology,yarn material performance,consumer demand trends and other changes in China,the market proportion of the knitwear has also been improved dramatically.The technology of computerized flat knitting machine and the knitwear fashion design promote each other,and constantly giving an infusion of fresh blood to the development of knitted garments.By taking good advantages of the flexibility of the computerized flat knitting machine in fabric and garment design and production,knitting is rich in multiway of design method and numerous type of fabric as well as garment style based on varied yarn materials,different combination of colored yarn in structures.Based on the technology of computerized flat knitting machine and the design elements of knitted garments,this present paper explores the application of pleat and gathers in the design and production of knitted garments.It mainly solves the forming method of knitting pleat and gathers and the problem of forming the knitted fabric.Therefore,the research content of this paper mainly includes the following aspects.First of all,the paper systematically summarizes knitwear design’ main points and methods after analyzing its elements,and also describes the importance of the design of knitted garments from the selection of raw material yarns,the design of the structure to some technical points in the knitting process,and then mainly analyzing the character and forming methods of pleat and gathers in the knitwear.Secondly,based on the elements of knitted garment design,the paper mainly analyzes the forming methods,pattern theory and technical parameters by designing and developing some pieces of knitting pleat and gathers with following the fashion trend.Finally,based on the practice and exploration of knitting pleat and gathers,the paper designs a series of knitted fashion according to a certain design theme.Among them,some practical aspects of knitted garments in the forming process are explored through practicing,including the applicability of the knitting structure and the problem of knitting pleat in the process of forming the garment.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)In the knitwear design by computerized flat knitting machine,different kinds of knitting structure can be achieved to enrich the knitting pattern by using the flexible machine,it can also greatly enhance the knitwear design’ personality and fashion.(2)Through searching and organizing the information of the existing literature,the latest yarn and knitting fabric exhibition,knitting pleat and gathers are divided into two types--texture crease and regular pleats,after the practice of knitting,then analyzing and summarizing each type of forming methods and characters.Among them,the forming method of texture crease is mainly the change of the knitted structure and the addition of elastic yarn,the knitted regular pleats are mainly realized by partial knitting.Meanwhile,based on the diversity of knitted fabric from knitting machine,different kinds of pattern can be achieved by changing the yarn,the knitting method(looping,collecting and floating line)and the machine parameters.(3)Based on the forming principle and knitting method of knitted pleat and gathers,the paper innovatively designs and develops some knitted pleat with light and shadow by changing the yarn and structure.This process can broaden designers’ and technologist’ mind,and make them realize the importance of combining the art and techniques.(4)In the process of patterning and knitting the knitted garments,when the number of knitting needles is in the same knitting row,it is necessary to consider the distribution order and the methods of the knitting needles in narrowing and widening fabrics.(5)The linking of knitting regular pleats in the formation of garment should consider its form,according to the characteristics of the fashion style and the pleats themselves to choose the appropriate linking method to reasonable and aesthetic for the purpose.
