In recent years, with the changes in the way of Jidong oilfield development, hydrogen sulfide content of feed gas in Nanpu station has significantly increased, resulting in the failure of the copper corrosion experimental results of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which producted by natural gas processing plant in Nanpu joint station.The failure of the experiment will reduce the economic value of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products, make an bad influence on downstream processing, and lead to environmental pollution once the production used as fuel.It also leads to the corrosion of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage equipment and pipeline with the sulfur content of excessive. What’s more, the exceed sulfur in the dry gas can also increase the gas transmission pipeline corrosion, so that increase the risk of natural gas transportation. Therefore, it is urgent to solve the failure of copper corrosion experiment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) produced by Nanpu joint station.Domestic and foreign natural gas and LPG desulfurization present situation and future developing direction were presented, and dry desulfurization was focused. The composition, qualification and sulphide morphology of the products sampled from Nanpu station were tested combining its relating processing. The results of the test showed the factors influencing the disqualification. Main stream methods of desulfurization were studied based on large amounts of literature. Processing characteristics, application conditions and practical application of WFGD (wet flue gas desulfurization), dry desulfurization and membrane separation were analyzed.Furthermore, energy consumption and investments were evaluated. It was revealed that hydramine, sulfinol or fixed-bed desulfurization could be used in case of low sulfur content circumstances. Reasons of disqualification and hydrogen sulphide distributions were concluded based on experiment results and HYSYS imitations. Different methods were compared in aspects of energy consumption and investments. Exact processing of Nanpu station is imitated using HYSYS, and achieved relating energy consumption analysis. The result shows that fixed-bed processing fits the feed gas of Nanpu station.3018desulfurizer is selected based on a comparison of performance parameter, investment and security etc. between3018and T703desulfurizers which were chosed from normally used efficient desulfurization agent at room temperature domestic and abroad.It is concluded that hydramine, sulfinol or fixed-bed desulfurization can be used in case of low sulfur content circumstances. Soild desulfurizer such as modified iron oxide, modified active carbon can be chosen for fixed-bed processing. Combined LPG desulfurization based on de-hydrogen-sulphide processing such as sulfinol, fixed-bed, and de-organic-sulfur processing such as catalytic oxidation-absorbing, Merox-extraction-oxidation, fiber liquid filming can be achieved in high sulphide content circumstances. Origin of disqualification of the LPG is obtained. Furthermore, relating processing scheme and equipment investments, which is of certain guiding significance to low sulfur content natural gas desulfurization, are presented.
